A little about Ruth...

It is a dream of Ruth’s to be able to help others become their best selves. She says has never met anyone who does not have a wealth of special qualities and a unique blend of character strengths just ready to make an impact!

Ruth trained as a coach to help bring forth these attributes in others, convinced that she would want to do mainly 1:1 coaching, but over time she discovered the power of the group. Ruth has always loved enabling teams to function at their peak, and it turns out that passion means GROUP coaching as well as speaking, workshops, and group trainings fire up her zest! There is the potential for so much wisdom, learning and cross-pollination of ideas in a group.

Ranked in 2021 by Thinkers360 as a top 10 thought leader in Mental Health and the Future of Work and top 25 in the topic of Leadership, Ruth’s passion is people making workplaces work – for them and the organization.

So in all of ALLE LLC’s offerings we seek to:

  1. Partner
  2. Embrace diversity of experience, perspective and opinion
  3. Hear many voices
  4. Get many perspectives and
  5. Work together leveraging each others’ strengths!

Ruth’s top VIA character strengths are: Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence, Bravery, Curiosity, Fairness, Gratitude, and Hope!

She practices mindfulness, loves her pets (currently two shepherd/poodle puppies called Misha & Luka, and two rabbits called Dylan & BunnyPenny), and the birds, bees, trees and flowers in her back yard. She is in almost constant awe at the wonders of nature!

In March 2022, Ruth took the Rebel Archetype Quiz from Todd Kashdan and this was the result:

The Defender

Defenders offers support for those dealing with injustice and unfairness. There is the whistleblower who discloses misconduct (not unlike the referee who blows a whistle to halt illegal or foul behavior).

There is the upstander who witnesses misdeeds and offers aid (the opposite of a passive bystander).

There is the rescuer who helps someone in a dangerous situation despite the possibility of physical, social, economic, and/or emotional harm (best characterized by underpaid first line responders).

When managing a difficult problem, you want a defender by your side. Defenders and guided by a strong moral compass. They speak out publicly even when it is unpopular. They stop the spread of false, malicious information. They educate on why something is wrong. They risk their bodies to protect or save someone in jeopardy. They sacrifice reputation and resources in hopes of improving the well-being of others. Instead of waiting for a large number of people to find solutions to problems, Defenders take charge and help others.

The central value of Defenders is fairness and justice.
